7月24〜26日の3日間、締め込み姿の男衆が巨大な山笠を担ぐ。中日の25日夜に開かれる競演会では、昼の幟山笠が夜は約300個の提灯で飾られた光のピラミッド「提灯大山笠」へと姿を変え、勇壮に競い合う。
