吉田の火祭り・すすき祭り
日本三奇祭のひとつ。
北口本宮冨士浅間神社と諏訪神社の秋の例祭で、8月26日の夜に高さ約3mの大松明90本以上が上吉田の目抜き通りに一斉点火され、夜空を赤く染める。27日はすすきの玉串を持った参拝者が神輿を追う。国指定重要無形民俗文化財。
